Opening Hymn to the
Chaplet of Our Lady of Mercy
1. Mother of Mercy, day by day
my love of thee grows more and more.
Thy gifts are strewn upon my way
like sands upon great seashore. (x2)
2. Through poverty and work and woe
the masters of my life may be,
when times are worst, who does not know
darkness is light with love of thee? (x2)
3. But scornful men have coldly said
the love was leading me from God,
and yet if this I did but tread
the very path my Saviour trod. (x2)
4. They know but little of thy worth
who speak these heartless words to me,
for what did Jesus on earth
one half so tenderly as thee? (x2)
5. Get me the grace to love thee more;
Jesus will give if thou will plead;
and, Mother! when life's cares are o'er,
oh, I shall love thee indeed! (x2)
6. Jesus, when His hours were run,
bequeath, thee from the cross to me,
and oh, how can I love thy Son
sweet Mother! If I love not thee? (x2)

You open your arms to us most merciful Mother, and stretch out your hands, full of mercies and gifts. Your Mother's heart is restless to endow us with everything we need. Encouraged by your goodness, we have confidence in you. We beg you to intercede for us. Mother obtaining for us all we need. Through your most powerful intercession, obtain from God especially the gift of chastity and innocence, and foster in our heart truly childlike love for you. So that we may bear the image of the Sacred Heart of your Son, may the Sacred Heart defend us, guide us, and take us to eternal light. Amen.

Mary, Mother of all graces, Mother of Divine Mercy,
defend us from our enemies and receive us at the
hour of our death.
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness,
and our hope. To you do we cry poor banished children of
Eve. To you do we send up our sighs, mourning and
weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, O most gracious
advocate, your eyes of mercy toward us and after this our
exile, show unto us the blessed fruit of your womb, Jesus.
O clement! O loving! O sweet Virgin Mary! Amen.
